Tenor

First Prize winner of the Wagner Society of New York, Dicapo Opera Theatre, and National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition, Jeffrey Hartman began his career in the young artists programs of Indianapolis and Sarasota Opera companies, and joined the roster of these companies. He joined the roster of Lyric Opera of Chicago in 2015 and sang as the principal guest soloist with Seattle Opera, Palm Beach Opera and numerous regional companies across the United States. He made his European debut in 2016 at Die Theater Chemnitz in Germany, where his interpretation of the role of Calàf in Turandot was enthusiastically received. He also debuted with the Theater Osnabrück and Northern Ireland Opera in the same season. He performed the principal tenor roles in Cavalleria Rusticana, I Pagliacci and Rigoletto with Musica Viva in Hong Kong.

Following his highly successful performances as Rodolfo in La Bohème in 2017, young American lyric tenor Dominick Chenes rejoins Musica Viva in Hong Kong for the role of naval officer Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly in December 2018, a role while he has recently sung with Seattle Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, and Liege Royal Opera in Belgium. An alumnus of the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, he made his Alice Tully Hall debut in 2013 and Carnegie Hall debut in 2016. His international engagements include the festival Opera på Skäret in Sweden, Welsh National Opera, Grand Théâtre de Genève and Valencia in Spain.
