Internationally acclaimed Tenor James Valenti has built a global reputation for his elegant musicianship, commanding stage presence, ardent style and voice of warm Italianate lustre. Trained at the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia and Westminster Choir College in Princeton, Valenti made his professional debut at age 25 at the Opera Theatre of Rome as Rodolfo in La Bohème. He has proceeded to perform at the most celebrated opera houses in the world, including La Scala of Milan, Metropolitan Opera of New York, Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires, Royal Opera House of London, National Opera of Paris at Bastille, Bavarian State Opera in Münich, Salzburg Festival and many others. His repertoire encompasses most of the lyric spinto tenor roles, and he has shared the stage with stars like Angela Gheorghiu, Anna Netrebko, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Bryn Terfel and more. James Valenti received the Maria Callas Debut Artist Award in 2009 and the Richard Tucker Award in 2010.
