France Bellmare

Young French Canadian soprano France Bellemare flies into Hong Kong to fulfil her Musica Viva engagement as Mimì in La Bohème immediately following her debut at the Metropolitan Opera of New York as Crobyle in Massenet’s Thaïs. In 2013, she took part in the young Canadian Musicians tour in which she sang Mimì for the first time. She has since performed many roles with the Montreal Opera, the Lyric Studio of Montreal and the Canadian Institute of Vocal Arts. In June 2015, France Bellemare was awarded the third prize at the Montreal International Music Competition. In May 2016, she completed her training at the Atelier lyrique de l'Opéra de Montréal with a prestigious Desmarais Foundation Grant, and embarked on a new stage of her professional career as principal soloist in operas and symphonic concerts.
