Stefania Dovhan

Soprano

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Stefania Dovhan graduated from the University of Maryland in the United States and the Augsburg Academy in Germany. She is the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards and the prize winner of many international competitions in Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, and of the Gold Medal in the Rosa Ponselle Competition in America. Her engagements include the Royal Opera of London, the Metropolitan Opera of New York, the Lviv National Opera of Ukraine, the Lyric Opera of Baltimore, the Heidelberg Opera, the Hagen Theatre, the Spoleto Festival and others. She has a repertoire of over 30 roles of which Mimì in La Bohème, Violetta in La Traviata, Cleopatra in Giulio Cesare, and the title role of Louise are among her finest achievements.
