A Pioneer’s Vision: Lo Kingman’s Journey Through Opera

Initiated by Prof. Ray Wang of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Maestro Yu Long, ‘A Pioneer’s Vision’ is a special concert dedicated
to Prof. Lo Kingman, who is acknowledged to be the ‘Father of Opera Development in Hong Kong’.

A wide range of operatic selections is featured on this programme, representing works which Prof. Lo has produced and directed in recent decades. A group of professional musicians and singers volunteer to perform in this concert to show their gratitude and respect to him.

Prof. Lo’s more than 50 years of hard work is widely recognised and this concert is yet another milestone that celebrates his dedication and contributions in the fields of performing arts and higher education. We are glad to have you here for this meaningful event tonight.
